Dublin Leprechauns Edge Marysville Drakes 13-12

June 6 2024 The Dublin Leprechauns rallied past the Marysville Drakes 13-12 at Fallon Field in a high-scoring game. Dublin overcame an early 7-3 deficit by scoring five runs in the sixth inning and five more in the eighth to take the lead. Marysville finished with 13 hits and Dublin had 14.

Dublin’s D. Garcia went 3-for-5 with two RBI, while Nick Ciszak and C. Evans each drove in two runs. J. Ford reached base four times with three walks and scored three runs. D. Gardiner and P. Parker also contributed two RBI apiece in the winning effort.

Marysville’s D. Peterson scored three runs and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and three walks. J. Starick went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two walks, while D. Ayala and Jayden Drake each drove in two runs. The Drakes scored five times in the second, added two runs in both the third and fourth, and pushed across two more in the ninth, but could not regain the lead.

Dante Hatchett earned the win for Dublin after allowing five runs on nine hits with three walks and six strikeouts over 5.2 innings. Matt Sartwell recorded the save with a scoreless ninth that included three strikeouts. Tim Nichols took the loss for Marysville after allowing two runs in 1.1 innings.
