Pacifics Rally Past Drakes 4-1

June 4 2024 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Marysville Drakes 4-1 behind a complete-game performance from Alex Valasek. San Rafael finished with six hits while limiting Marysville to two, improving its record to 31-23. Marysville fell to 29-25.

Marysville took a 1-0 lead in the third inning, but San Rafael answered with a run in the sixth and three more in the ninth. Braxton King provided the decisive blow with a home run and three RBI, while Xavier Selway went 2-for-3 with a double and scored once. Mark Hernandez and John Bicos also scored for the Pacifics.

Valasek earned the win by allowing one run on two hits over nine innings. He struck out nine and walked three, with the lone run charged as unearned. Rodrigo Sanchez kept Marysville in the game over six innings, allowing one earned run on three hits with six strikeouts and three walks, but Bryan Krolikowski took the loss after recording one out and allowing three runs.
