Pacifics Cruise Past Drakes 16-4

July 12 2023 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Marysville Drakes 16-4 at Bryant Field behind a 14-hit attack. San Rafael scored in six different innings and carried a 9-1 lead through six frames before Marysville trimmed the deficit with three runs in the seventh. The Pacifics answered with seven runs in the eighth to put the game out of reach.

Kyle Guerra led San Rafael with three hits three RBI and two runs scored. Kevin Johnson and Tyler Georgeson each added two hits and three RBI, while Gerald Nervis scored three runs and collected two hits including a triple. Nick Smith went 2-for-2 with a double a walk and an RBI, and Beau Dorman contributed a double and an RBI.

Austin Fitzpatrick held Marysville scoreless on two hits over four innings with two strikeouts and one walk. Chris Johnson followed with 1.1 scoreless innings, and Dan Crossan completed the game with a scoreless ninth. Billy Babb worked 2.2 innings and allowed four runs on six hits.

Marysville finished with nine hits, led by Tucker Burtons two RBI and one hit. Michael Vochelli also drove in a run and recorded a double. The Drakes committed five errors, while San Rafael committed two.
