Marysville Drakes Roll Past Dublin Leprechauns 20-6

July 7 2023 The Marysville Drakes defeated the Dublin Leprechauns 20-6 after scoring in eight of nine innings. Marysville collected 19 hits and took control early, scoring three runs in the first inning and nine in the second to build a 12-1 lead. The Drakes added two runs in the third, two in the fourth, one in the fifth, two in the sixth and one in the eighth before Dublin scored three times in the ninth.

Lyndon Weaver led Marysville with three hits, four runs and two RBI, while Tucker Burton went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Evan Blum scored three runs, drove in three and drew four walks. Tyler Carpenter added two hits and two RBI, and Michael Vochelli contributed two hits and two RBI. Marysville finished with 19 hits, including four doubles, while Dublin had 11 hits.

Vochelli earned the win after allowing seven hits and three runs, two earned, in 6.1 innings. He walked two and struck out four. Neil Boudreau pitched 1.2 scoreless innings with one hit allowed and one strikeout. Wyatt Rowland took the loss for Dublin after allowing eight runs in one inning, while Marcelo Garcia-Cruz was charged with 11 runs in 4.1 innings.
