Vallejo Seaweed Roll Past Marysville Drakes 22-11

June 27 2023 The Vallejo Seaweed defeated the Marysville Drakes 22-11 in a high-scoring game. Vallejo collected 12 hits and scored in seven innings while playing errorless baseball. Marysville finished with 10 hits and no errors.

Vallejo took control early with four runs in the first inning six in the second and seven in the third to build a 17-1 lead. Marysville answered with four runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth before Vallejo added runs in the fifth seventh and eighth innings to keep the game out of reach.

Ike Brown led Vallejo with three hits and seven RBIs including a home run. Sean Jackson added three hits four RBIs and two runs while Jalen Ford had two hits two RBIs and two walks. Braxton King drove in three runs and Tinmion Hughes contributed a home run and two RBIs. For Marysville Joseph Starick had three hits two RBIs and three runs while Lyndon Weaver went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and a home run.

Chris Hess earned the win for Vallejo after allowing 10 hits and nine earned runs in six innings. He walked six and struck out three. Tavon Gibbs and Quentin Oexner each pitched a scoreless inning. Marysville starter Neil Boudreau took the loss after giving up five hits and 10 earned runs in 1 1/3 innings while walking six and striking out three.
