Pacifics Shut Out Drakes 4-0

June 11 2023 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Marysville Drakes 4-0 behind a dominant pitching performance and a late offensive push. San Rafael finished with nine hits while holding Marysville to two hits in the shutout victory.

San Rafael opened the scoring in the third inning and added another run in the eighth before putting the game away with two runs in the ninth. Kyle Guerra went 2-for-5 with two RBIs, while Tyler Georgeson added an RBI. Kevin Johnson and Cam Vollmer each scored once, and John Bicos collected two hits for the Pacifics.

Alex Valasek earned the win after allowing two hits and no runs over seven innings. He walked two and struck out 11. Chris Allen completed the shutout with two hitless innings and four strikeouts to earn the save. Evan Nakagawa took the loss for Marysville after allowing one run on five hits over six innings.
